ATSG Offers Flexible Wireless Solution to the Legal Market

Date: Feb 1, 2004

Advanced Technology Support Group (ATSG), a wireless integrator, today announced its service offering specifically designed to increase productivity, client response, and billable hours for law firms. This offering, the ATSG Legal Solution Pak, combines the BlackBerry® wireless solution from Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq:RIMM; TSX:RIM)with cellular networks and legal software applications to provide law firms a competitive edge.

With the Legal Solution Pak, attorneys out of the office or away from their desks can receive secure access to email, calendar, and contact data; back-end systems such as document management, CRM, legal research, and time/billing capture; and voice communications. During periods of travel downtime, attorneys can initiate and reply to client email, increasing responsiveness and billable time. When engaged in client meetings, negotiations, or court proceedings, attorneys can access needed electronic documents and client records not otherwise available. For many, laptops and stand-alone cell phones are no longer necessary.

Leveraging its wireless integration experience and relationships with RIM, major carriers, and independent software providers, ATSG consults with each client to determine specific requirements and craft the solution that best meets their unique needs. The Legal Solution Pak is flexible, allowing the law firm to choose and mix the services ATSG offers with those performed internally or by other parties. ATSG can be the single point-of-contact for solution accountability so the law firm can focus on its professional practice.

"ATSG made it easy for us to leverage the benefit of BlackBerry to our firm by acting as a single point-of-contact for device selection and procurement, carrier choice, and ongoing support,” said Jerry Markowitz, Partner at Markowitz, Davis, Ringel & Trusty P.A.. “Going forward, we look to ATSG to help us determine other ways to use BlackBerry to support our practice."

Today’s announcement coincides with American Lawyer Media’s 2004 Legal Tech, New York Conference, where ATSG will be joining RIM in its exhibit booth to discuss its offering further with the legal community.
