ATSG Sets New Standard in Business Process Analysis
New Method Enables Organizations to Fast Track Process Improvements

OWINGS MILLS, MD, November 20, 2000 - Advanced Technologies Support Group, Inc. (ATSG), a leading technology management and integration firm, announced today a groundbreaking new method for performing Business Process Analysis (BPA). The new rapid review method combines ATSG's unique Fast Track BPA methodology with Popkin Software's System Architect 2001 - a comprehensive and powerful modeling solution for developing successful enterprise systems. This combination will allow ATSG to provide comprehensive views and simulation of a client's Business Processes and to evaluate, recommend, and implement changes. ATSG can also provide clients with the "model" of key business processes for their ongoing use. According to John Heinz President of ATSG, "Many of our customers continuously focus on improving their critical business processes and staying ahead of this rapidly changing electronic market place. Our Fast Track BPA service helps clients make decisions better, avoid major mistakes and improve the overall level of success they realize from process improvement efforts and investments."

The Baltimore County Government, one of ATSG's clients, successfully used Fast Track BPA to analyze and track all business process elements of the County's Personnel & Payroll Form. William H. Bond, former Chief Information Office for the Baltimore County Government, testified to the efficiency and effectiveness of Fast Track BPA. Mr. Bond said, "The Fast Track BPA product gave us never before diagrams of the entire business process, showed us the approximate times each element took, and allowed us to track copies of the form through the entire Personnel & Payroll function across multiple agencies. This product gave us more information about our process in a much shorter time period with the expenditure of minimum resources than would have been possible had we used the conventional systems analysis methodology. I believe that the product and the associated service from ATSG were excellent."

Fast Track BPA, coupled with System Architect 2001, yields rapid results and valuable insight into a client's business processes. Fast Track BPA is designed to identify areas of opportunity quickly so that the client can focus attention on where there is the greatest need and the greatest benefit. The four-step process is a powerful, yet simple methodology that is flexible, repeatable and quickly transferable to the organization. The highly robust System Architect 2001 enables the user to develop and maintain a comprehensive view of processes and data, and to integrate business processes with objects, data, and structured analysis.
